Resurgence Engineering & Preservation was established in 2002 by Alfred Hodson to provide structural engineering services targeting the preservation of Maine’s historic structures. Over his career, Al has worked with John Turk, AIA on many of Maine’s most significant historic properties including restoration of Portland City Hall, Fort Popham, Fort Gorges, Victoria Mansion, Spurwink Church and the Safford House. John officially joined Resurgence in the summer of 2017 and now, Resurgence offers comprehensive architectural and engineering services including conditions assessments, historic tax credit consultation, National Register nominations, HABS/HAER recordation, Historic Structure reports, and standard engineering and national and regionally recognized award winning architectural design services.
